What do Japanese people eat for breakfast? Many people in Japan eat a Western-style breakfast. Japanese traditional breakfast consists of rice, miso soup and various side dishes. Japanese breakfast have some side dishes, for example broiled or grilled fish, rolled omelet, soft-boiled egg, tsukemono pickles, dried seaweed, natto, and so on, but today, some people eat other foods such as bread with coffee, serial and so on.

Japanese Curry

I’d like to tell about Japanese curry. Curries are very popular dishes in Japan. Japanese-style curries are usually thicker than curries found in other cuisines. Using Japanese curry roux such as House, S&B and Glico, makes it easy to cook Japanese-style curry at home. Curry mixes thicken curry sauce and vary from hot to mild. They contain many kinds of spices and vegetables and fruit essences.
Typical Japanese curries contain vegetables, such as onion, carrots, and potatoes, and meat. Chicken, pork, beef, or seafood can be used for curries. Also, ingredients can be vegetable only if you prefer. Many people cook a large amount of curry at a time and keep it for a few days. It is said that it tastes more delicious when people eat curry after made several days. For Japanese, Thai curry is not similar because they contain coconut milk. If you came to Japan and ate Japanese curry, you might be surprised.
